Murdered before he could wed Regin the Radiant, warlord Aidan the Fierce seeks his beloved through eternity, reborn again and again into new identities, yet with no memory of his past lives.
SHE AWAITS HIS RETURN . . .
When Regin encounters Declan Chase, a brutal Celtic soldier, she recognizes her proud warlord reincarnated. But Declan takes her captive, intending retribution against all immortals—unaware that he belongs to their world.
TO SATE A DESIRE MORE POWERFUL THAN DEATH . . .
Yet every reincarnation comes with a price, for Aidan is doomed to die when he remembers his past. To save herself from Declan’s torments, will Regin rekindle memories of the passion they once shared—even if it means once again losing the only man she could ever love?
As much as I want to share every detail of the book, I don’t want to give away a thing!
But, here’s what I can tell you…
The link between Regin and Aiden, her viking warrior, is epic. Aiden discovered Regin when she was a mere child, and knew at that moment she was his; that they were destined to be together and “mated” for eternity. Aiden will wait for her to be ready, old enough to be his… only to have her pulled from his grasp.
A unimaginable romance would not be complete without it’s share of tragedy and DODW is no exception. Regin will spend a thousand years waiting, finding and losing Aiden, only to be forced to repeat the cycle over and over… How much anguish can one Valkyrie’s heart endure?
Declan Chase has been hardened by the years of fighting, training, hunting and caging the obominations that made him an orphan and scared him within so long ago. He has but one desire, to make the immortal freaks pay for thier existance, and demands that he will wield the agonizing blow.
Kresley takes use right into the fray, picking up where we left off on the last IAD book and seemlessly tying up the lose ends. Rather then repetative, it was refreshing to link all the characters together and have many questions answered in this edition. A new player is presented in the book, Thad, a young lad of 17 and new to the Lore. I expect we can see great things in Thad’s future and hope that a book will feature his extrememly rare “makeup” in the books to come.
In the end, Kresley delivered a spellbinding, exahilaratng roller coaster ride into the mystical realm of the Lore; Never has heartbreak, betrayal, death, mahem and eternal love ever tasted so sweet!

I’m almost done, and I’m loving it!
I’m afraid I must take the opposite view of things and say that Declan Chase is not dreamy at all. More like nightmarish, in fact.
Spoiler Review (on my blog)

Declan Chase is definately no angel.
Events in in youth made him how and what he is…
Dreamy is in no way a description I’d use. Broken and tortured, maybe.
I am reading this atm and can’t get enough! Love it!
Btw, love the blog
