Everything is hotter with a British accent…

Sarah MacLean - A Duke Worth Falling For:

Her career in tatters, celebrity photographer Lilah Rose retreats to the British countryside, complete with fluffy sheep, rolling hills…and Max, the stern, sexy farmer who tends to them. But their lazy days and lush nights aren’t as far from the spotlight as Lilah thinks, and Max will have to reveal the truth if he is going to convince Lilah that some dukes are worth the risk.

Sophie Jordan - Better with You:

When the author of a controversial self-help book starts receiving threats, she has no choice but to accept a bodyguard on her UK book tour. Vee Mathers is famous for asserting that women don’t need men—especially for sex!—but at security specialist Luca Moretti’s first, burning touch, she starts to think she might need to revise her theory...

Louisa Edwards - Not a Bad Boy:

Writer Mallory Pritchard moved to London for research—and to get over a bad breakup. When she (literally) runs into Hollywood’s hottest action hero, Ian Hale, at a dog park, she realizes her heart isn’t as broken as she thought! Ian is even more devastatingly sexy in person, which makes Mallory wonder...is there room for a regular girl in his glamorous movie-star world?

Tessa Gratton - Songbird:

Former American soldier Daniel Kelly’s mission is simple: close the deal to buy a Welsh pub on behalf of his family’s corporation, and survive another anniversary of the worst day of his service. Too bad that from the moment he sees the pub’s owner, Elspeth Gwenlan is the only thing Daniel wants to conquer—even if it means lying to her about his agenda.

Sierra Simone - Supplicant:

After being left at the altar by her cold and brilliant professor, Church Cason, Charlotte Tenpenny had to leave school to take care of her younger brother. But a fateful night brings Church—and his delicious, drugging kisses—back into Charlotte's life. And it stirs up a reckoning years in the making . . .

I bought this anthology for the Sarah MacLean story…she wrote a contemporary!! OMG guys it’s amazing! But I kept reading for both familiar authors and new names to me. This was a very sexy and for the most part fantastic anthology! All 5 stories are linked through a common event-sex at the British Museum. What a neat way to connect an anthology! I don’t usually envision movie stars as characters, but this anthology really made me think of certain ones. I’m sharing that with you guys.

Sarah MacLean-5 stars

This was my favorite story in the anthology. I found myself smiling almost the entire story. You still get all of the emotion and romance in a full-length story, and it really makes me love Sarah MacLean all the more for being able to pack all of that into a novella and still make it a happy story. I envisioned Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan; I don’t think the characters looked like them, but it just for some reason made me think of them. This is a happy story.

Sophie Jordan- 3.5 stars

Sexy and fun, I liked the bodyguard romance. The heroine annoyed me at first with her self-righteousness however I feel that changed and it worked. I really loved the bodyguard. He was fantastic and he took his job seriously. I thought of Henry Cavill.

Louisa Edwards-4 stars

This was fun. Imagine Tom Hardy at a dog park who falls for an average girl. It’s sweet and cute and like a sexy Rom Com.

Tessa Gratton-4 stars

I have never read this author and I liked this one a lot, but I felt the hero held his secret for too long. This was my second favorite in the anthology. Chris Evans and his sweater from Knives Out stole the show here.

Sierra Simone- 1 star

I did not like this story. This is about a professor and his student and he left her at the altar and I hated both of them. It was meant to be sexy I guess. I found it frustrating. She was left at the altar and she gets back with him later. IMO his reasons sucked and she was so much better than him. She deserved better. After reading a lot of reviews, I think this author just may not be for me. I envisioned Tom Hiddleston as Church. Sadly even that didn’t help me with the story.

All in all, a pretty solid anthology, and one that has me wanting to visit the British Museum 😉
