Destined for greatness in the corporate world, Olivia Dahl’s only regret is that an ideal love life eludes her. After crossing paths with the irresistible vampire, Benjamin Ward, Olivia is propelled into the middle of a demon invasion and forced to rely on the vampire that took her life. Olivia fights to save the city from being overrun by demons while resisting her unyielding attraction to Benjamin.

Olivia is a snarky newly made vampire, who tries to leave her maker before she becomes accustomed to her new lifestyle. She leaves Benjamin at his house and tries to go home and act like nothing has happened to her.  She even tries to go out with her best friend to a bar, where she finds out in a very graphic way about demons. She gives in to Benjamin and moves in with him and learns about the demon invasion and vows to protect the humans, all the while reminding her maker of his mistake when he made her.  

I give this book 4.5 out of 5 flames. 

 It has a nice blend of humor, romance and paranormal element to it.  Mix Olivia, a modern day no nonsense woman, with Benjamin a thousand year old vampire and watch the sparks fly.  It kept me glued to the book until I was done with the story. I can’t wait for the next one in the series. I hope that we will see more of Olivia and Benjamin, and find out what happens in the fight against the demons.
