Fever Moon: The Fear Dorcha by Karen Marie Moning
My rating: 4.5 of 5 flames
It wasn’t quite a 5 for me, but it was close.
I’d forgotten how much I love the Fever world. This one seems to fit in right in the middle of Shadowfever. I loved all the notes and extras at the end, it was pretty cool to see.
Basically this is a short part of something that happened in Shadowfever that we never saw. I’m not one for manga or comics, so I wasn’t sure I’d enjoy this-I was wrong. It was great. We see The Dreamy Eyed Guy, Barrons, Ryoden, Dani, Inspector Jayne, Rowena, and other sidhe-seers, V’lane and Christian Mackeltar are mentioned, and we meet Velvet. He’s a lesser fae prince who cares little for humans and thinks they should worship fae. I want to see more of him in the next series (Dani’s series is next up, come October).
Barrons was his usual self, and yet, I found him almost likeable in this. I did miss V’lane though. And Karen Marie Moning’s note at the end about V’lane, the Unseelie King, and Barrons was so interestin. Just a slight change in perspective and any one of them might have been the hero.
For those of you who haven’t read the Fever series, I’d suggest doing so. Now. Add this one to your tbr list and read it after you’ve been chewed up and spit out by the Fever books.
I love this series too and was so sad when it ended. Love Barrons and “V’lane!
Glad to hear you really enjoyed this one! Can’t wait to read this one!
Have a great weekend!
