What happens when the five members of Mercury Folds, the most popular boy band from twenty years ago finally find the true meaning of a happily ever after with their soul mate….
Holly is living her dream as a romance novelist, who also works at her aunt’s bookstore in her hometown of Keansbury, New York. As single, career-minded woman who’s a few years away from forty, she hasn’t been looking for love. But when her high school sweetheart, Austin Knowles, the lead singer of the once popular boy band Mercury Folds ends up signing his new autobiography at her bookstore, he turns her life upside down.
Austin hasn’t just returned to his hometown as stop on his book tour, but to reconnect with Holly after leaving her behind for fame and fortune. He’ll try to convince her to give him another chance after so many years apart. And why wouldn’t she since he was the inspiration for the hero in her first book that made a name for herself? He may have once been a reckless devil but after so many years of living the rock star lifestyle, he wants to settle down with the one woman who always held his heart.
Boy band love represent!
Holly works at her aunt’s bookstore and writes Romance novels on the side. She never told anyone, but her first book? The hero was based on her first crush…a boy who went on to break her heart and become part one of the most famous boy bands around. The book opens with Holly preparing the bookstore for a signing with none other than…Austin Knowles, the boy bander who broke her heart.
Austin left to make music, and now, he’s written a book on it. But he knows that he will run into Holly at the book store. He’s planning on it. In fact…he may have read her book and loved it. Maybe recognized himself in it. Maybe he’s ready for a commitment…
But Holly isn’t sure what to do when he starts paying attention to her. Does she dare take this chance with him? What if he goes on tour again? Can she trust he won’t break her heart again?
I really enjoy this author’s writing. She’s very good at making the reader feel what her characters feel, and putting the reader into the middle of the story. I’m very excited to follow this novella-length series about boy banders all grown up. I foresee big things for this series, and I can’t wait for the next book!
