Donna Grant, wife and mother of two, has the pleasure of writing these historical highland romance novels that we love for a living. You might be shocked to find out that she wasn’t always a best selling author, but she actually started writing on her lunch breaks while working as an accountant and carrying her eldest child. Her first novel was completed in 1999 and published in 2005, but shall remain nameless. Donna has sworn that her first works can not be located and will, quote: “Never see the light of day again”. I quickly ended that subject and focused on her transition from e-publishing to mass-market paperback. She has said that each author has a different path, but that this particular one was right for her. Donna has landed exactly where she’s always wanted to be, with St. Martin’s Press and the New York publishing marketplace.
Her Forbidden Highlander (book 2) is slated to release this year in May, and currently books 3-5 of the series have already been written. For more information on the series and the names of books 1-6, you can visit Donna’s website at: www.donnagrant.com
I can confirm that we will see a total of 6 books in the Dark Sword series at this time, each being released on a six month rotation. Not fast enough for my tastes, but the wait will only make the readers want them more.
Don’t forget to pre-order your copy of Forbidden Highlander:

What is it about those highlanders that make them so irresistible?
Stephanie, for me it’s hoping that a brisk wind will come up and lift their kilts. 😉
I love Highlanders, and haven’t yet read anything by Donna Grant. Guess I better get right on that!
Thank you Jackie
