TWO BRILLIANT AGENTS
FBI Special Agent Monica Davenport has made a career out of profiling serial killers. But getting inside the twisted minds of the cruel and the sadistic has taken its toll: She's walled herself off from the world. Yet Monica can't ignore fellow agent Luke Dante, the only man who ever broke through her defenses.

ONE DREAM TEAM
Luke has the unique ability to put victims at ease...professionally, he and Monica made a perfect team. Now they're reunited to catch a murderer who uses his victims' deepest, darkest fears for sport - but their investigative skills aren't enough. Luke and Monica will have to face the secrets from their past, the ones that terrify them the most, if they are to have a future together.

BUT CAN THEY CATCH A KILLER WHOSE WEAPON IS...

DEADLY FEAR

This is an older book of Ms. Eden’s, but recently someone pointed out that I hadn’t read it yet. I’ve seen many reviews rave about how this is the best Romantic Suspense ever, and since it’s only $.99,  I had to give it a shot. Well, I’ve read it now, and I agree.

Ms. Eden has a knack for getting into the killer’s head, and it never feels forced. She can make the killer someone you have multiple page time with, and you never even realize it’s him until the end. I thought I had this one figured out. I’ve read a lot of her books, I like to think I know how she’ll pull it off. And I was wrong.

FBI Special Agent Monica Davenport has survived hell. And she’s stronger for it. So what if her nickname is Ice. She might not like it, but she cultivated that icy exterior on purpose.

Luke Dante can see through her. He knows she isn’t only Ice. He sees too much though, and it frightens her. That’s why she left him after they hooked up several years back. He made her feel too much.

They’re on the same team now though, a special team for hunting down serial killers. Just being in the same room becomes hard for her. She can’t stop thinking about how it was with them. Luke wants her to let him in. He’s known since the day they met that she was his woman. Now he just needs to convince her to give them a shot. That’s hard to do when bodies keep turning up.

The main focus of the investigation is on the killer, but what they aren’t seeing is that the killer is closer than they think. And his end game is Monica.

I loved Luke. But I really thought I was going to hate Monica. I ended up really liking her though. She was strong, tough, never TSTL, and for once, didn’t use herself as bait. I was sure she would, but I was surprised.

I can’t wait to dive into the next book in the series. I think since it’s only 3 books, it would be a good one to binge read. I know what my weekend will have in store.

This book has it all. A capable and likeable heroine, a sexy hero who wants to protect the heroine, and an intense roller coaster ride of a plot. It’s an older series, so you can glom it all at once, I know I will be.
