Five dishonored soldiers.
Former Special Forces.
One last mission.
These are the men of Hard Ink.

Ever since hard-bodied, drop-dead-charming Shane McCallan strolled into the dance club where Crystal Dean works, he’s shown a knack for getting beneath her defenses. For her little sister’s sake, Crystal can’t get too close. Until her job and Shane’s mission intersect, and he reveals talents that go deeper than she could have guessed.

Shane would never turn his back on a friend in need, especially a former Special Forces teammate running a dangerous, off-the-books operation. Nor can he walk away from Crystal. The gorgeous waitress is hiding secrets she doesn't want him to uncover. Too bad. He’s exactly the man she needs to protect her sister, her life, and her heart. All he has to do is convince her that when something feels this good, you hold on as hard as you can—and never let go

I was pleasantly surprised with the first book in this series (Hard as it Gets, read my review here). When this book came I was really excited to read it!
We had an interview with Laura Kaye here
This book picked up as soon as the first ended, and Shane can’t stop thinking about Crystal, the waitress who helped him rescue Becca’s brother in book 1. See, Becca has gone to the only man who can help her, Nick Rixey, and he’s called in his former Special Forces team to help. They’re still trying to figure out who is behind their fall from grace, and this second book gets them one step closer.
The big problem though, is that Crystal works at the strip club owned by some bad guys, and her boyfriend is high up the food chain with these bad dudes.
That’s right. Boyfriend. But Bruno is a dick. An abusive, territorial, stalker who won’t let Crystal have a single moment of privacy.
Shane wants to rescue Crystal from the club and from Bruno, but how can he help her when she won’t let him near, let alone let him help.
There is so much more to this story than just that, though. Crystal is such an amazing character. Every time I had to put the book down, I couldn’t stop thinking about Crystal, Shane and how they would get her away from Bruno. It’s really telling when you can’t stop thinking about the book.
This series is fantastic. I can’t wait for the next book, and I absolutely suggest this series to everyone, but you’ll want to read in order.

Edit:
I gave this a 4 but I can’t stop thinking about the story. I’m bumping it up!
