I recently powered through 2 audio books since I’ve been working my @ss off, and thought I’d share one with you.

Nights in Rodanthe
by Nicholas Sparks

At forty-five, Adrienne Willis must rethink her entire life when her husband abandons her for a younger woman. Reeling with heartache and in search of a respite, she flees to the small coastal town of Rodanthe, North Carolina, to tend to a friend’s inn for the weekend.

But when a major storm starts moving in, it appears that Adrienne’s perfect getaway will be ruined-until a guest named Paul Flanner arrives. At 54, Paul has just sold his medical practice and come to Rodanthe to escape his own shattered past. Now, with the storm closing in, two wounded people will turn to each other for comfort-and in one weekend, set in motion feelings that will resonate throughout the rest of their lives.

How is it possible that one man could have so much joy, pain, passion & heartache continuously flowing from his heart directly into his pen? Nicholas Sparks never fails to amaze me and hold me captivated.

Being a mother, divorced, betrayed and knocking on 40’s door; I was able to indentify with the heroine in the novel and I think you all will too. If you’ve seen the movie, then you already know. BUT if you haven’t, please take the time to read the book before you do.

The story that’s layed out before us is one of hope, anguish, joy, love, anticipation and ultimate heartbreak; and that’s just the good parts! Actually, it all good. Fate or circumstances neither Adrienne or Paul could have ever dreamed, brought them to Rodanthe and what they found there was like no other.
Life can change in an instant, but for them it stood still; those five days laid a new path in each of thier lives forever.
I’m not the sappy crying type, but the sheer emotion that is put from pen to paper is extrodinary. You will cry. Your heart will skip a beat. But mostly your own being will wish to have 1/10th of the moments and connections shared by the characters in this book.
Thank you Nicholas Sparks for giving a piece of your heart and soul in this one, a fabulous read.
