I’m so glad that billionaires are no longer the “go-to” hero! I was so excited for a fighter pilot hero, I mean, that’s a new one, right? Usually they’re SEALs (not that I mind that either ;P). But a fighter pilot? Hubba Hubba!
But this book isn’t going to work for me at all. I hate the dual first person point of view. I really do.
I also hate the way they think. They think like a group of guys or women would talk to each other. While I have totally said some of that stuff in jest, like “OMG my ovaries are ‘sploding!” over a hot guy on twitter, I’ve honestly never thought that in my head in a serious manner, or ever actually said it out loud.
This writing is not for me at all, which is a shame, according to many of my friends who liked it, since it’s supposed to be super good and really emotional. So for once, I’ll still recommend a book that I didn’t like, mainly because this is such a taste-specific reason to not like a book. Although the way they think? Oy, I’m so not feeling that.
So, there you are. If you don’t mind the idea of a 33 year old talking like a young girl tweets, and if you don’t mind the dual first person point of view, then go for it!

Great review! I only tried one other book by this author and it was the same thing — dual first person POV but just not realistic in thoughts and internal dialogue.
