I first read this in the anthology Entangled and it’s free right now. Grab it while you can.
The sheriff of a small town is investigating a murder when the werewolf alpha shows up. She has a history with him, even if it was only one night. But he can’t forget her, and she’s trying her best to forget him. Unfortunately he’s her main suspect for the attack.
The body was left on the border between vampire and werewolf territories, and from what she can tell, someone is trying to start something. With the timing of a Blood Moon and Halloween coinciding, it’ll bring about some strange things in this town.
But someone runs her off the road while the alpha is in the back of her patrol car, and from that point on, it looks like she may be the next victim.
It’s a quick read and I enjoyed it. The sexy times are steamy and the suspense keeps you flipping pages as quickly as you can.
